COVID-19 COMMISSION RESOURCE POST

Hi guys!

So with the recent pandemic, there are a lot of people in our DWRPer community in need of help. But not only that, there are a lot of DWRPers looking for ways to help but don't know how. This is a step towards working to solve that problem.

I've seen a lot of people either advertising that their commissions are open or are looking to pay artists for commission but don't know where to look. So this is a database to help link the two up. It's on google sheets, but don't worry, I'll be handling the actual spreadsheet work since while I can't draw- I do know my way around a spreadsheet.

IF YOU ARE AN ARTIST/ICON MAKER/FIC WRITER/OTHER ARTISAN WITH OPEN COMMISSIONS, please fill out the correct form and comment to this post! If you offer more than one of these skills, please fill out multiple forms!

If you become full on commissions or you close commissions, please let me know so I can make a note of that on the sheet!

IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO COMMISSION SOMEONE please contact the person you're commissioning for all payment and commission details! This is just a directory, I will not handle any transactions.

If there is a situation of an artist/writer not completing commissions and not updating folks on why there's a delay, please let me know and I will remove them from the directory until the situation is settled. On the other hand, if there's a situation of someone not paying commissioners for completed jobs, let me know and I'll figure out some way to warn folks (though I generally recommend asking for half or all of the money up front to avoid this issue).

That's it for now! Much like this situation in this world, things may change or evolve based on what's needed! I just wanted to start simple and see if we can get that running before expanding directory servers.

Artisan Name: Strange Land Costuming
Trade: Cosplay and fandom clothing and accessories, especially t-shirts, neckties, scarves, and hats
Info Page: I have a special t-shirt emergency page on my journal but I also have a Storenvy with already-made items and my basic website is www.strangelandcostumes.com.
Locations: I ship worldwide but be aware of international delays, additional tariffs/custom-fees, etc. I can't cover those, only the shipping itself.
Rates: Items are priced as marked but if you are (understandably!) not in the marked for a $200 costume right now, t-shirts are $15, hats are usually under 20, scarves are dirt cheap, and if you just want something embroidered on a scrap of fabric or a stencil cut to use for your own purposes, that'll be probably under 10.
Average Wait Time: on-hand items ship ASAP, t-shirts may have a construction delay up to 2 weeks if I have to start ordering both shirts and iron-on online.
Contact: email strangelandcostumes @ gmail! I can also respond to comments left here or on my own journal since notifs come in along with my RP notifs.
Other: most of my commissions are presently slated for deadlines much later in the summer so I'm not hurting for those yet, but who the fuck knows how any of this is going to roll out, so I'm pre-emptively preparing for more cons to get canceled. I have a huge vending event slated for August but if that gets canceled I will lose a third of my annual income in one weekend.

Oh no dont' worry about it! DWrpers gotta make a living even if it's not RP related. Plus I know a lot of RPers love cosplaying too, so it's a good demographic!
